Did you try what I suggested in my post, modifying the shutter phase?

Please keep in mind that “the bastards” that you refer to include people who spend a lot of their time helping out here on the COW.

It doesn’t seem hidden to me. I did a Google search for ‘buy adobe cs6’, and this is the first page that came up:
    “Creative Suite 6 products”

Also, the second link from the header of any page on the Adobe website under “Products” is for CS6 and leads to this page.

August 12, 2013 at 10:57 pm in reply to: Why is Quicktime not an export option?

Here are some possible problems that could cause QuickTime to not appear:
    https://blogs.adobe.com/aftereffects/2011/02/troubleshooting-quicktime-errors-with-after-effects.html

That was written for After Effects, but most of it applies to Adobe Media Encoder, too.

  • > sometimes I get an error message telling me RAM preview needs 2 or more frames to playback…..one example of when it does this is when I move the work area to a new place.

That’s usually because you have the From Current Time option enabled in the Preview panel, but the current time indicator is outside of your work area (or at the end of the composition or work area).

  • I just checked, and this is the result of a fix for a bug that in previous version caused all properties of an effect (not just selected properties) to be saved and applied in an animation preset. This means that it is now the intended behavior that you need to select the name of the effect (i.e., click the top-level property group for the entire effect) before saving an animation preset to have the custom name saved.

    Does that make sense?

  • It seems that the name is saved if you select the expression control effect by clicking its name and then save the animation preset, as opposed to clicking the name of the underlying property and then saving the animation preset.

This bug doesn’t exist in After Effects CS6.

August 11, 2013 at 11:04 pm in reply to: Illustrator Logo Animation techniques

One good first step is to convert the vector graphic from Illustrator to shape layers, as shown here:
    https://tv.adobe.com/watch/learn-after-effects-cs6/converting-imported-vector-graphics-from-illustrator-to-shape-layers/

Then, you could extrude the logo in 3D, as in the end of this video:
