Actually because of the extra coding that Adobe does the Educational Versions, it runs faster and better than the commercial versions….Just kidding-it’s Monday.
There is no difference between the two. Everything is the same. And with any plug-ins that you buy (as long as they are NOT educational versions) can migrate with you to a commercial version.Cheers,

If you are using proper file management, then you should be able to drag over the couple of media folders, as well as the project file, then relink it in FCP and you should be good to go.
It must be a really long flight if you are going to try to do some heavy editing while your flying…If you have the money, it would be easier to invest in a micro FW drive that gets power from your laptop. THen you might be able to plug in your drive and keep working. Although with the airline scare, all bets are off.

that means you have 2 or more copies of the same plug-in. You must have install something twice.
If it just the CC plug-ins you can either individually delete the extra copy of each plug-n from your plug-in folder or delete all of the CC plug-ins and try installing it again (the correct way) once. If it’s saying that you have multiple of A LOT of plug-ins, then you might need to uninstall AE and try again.You are right, the go into your AE-Plug-Ins folder.

That’s like asking ‘which car should I buy?’
Well, it depends, where are you going? What do you want to do when you get there? How much do you want to take with you? etc.
It sounds like you already have your foot in the door, so what do you see as the next biggest need?
If you are doing a lot of logo design- a color theory course would be great.
If you are a lot of keying and rotoscoping- then maybe Mokey would be an option.
If 3D models are what the clients need – Cinema 4D or Maya
Or Combustion might be a good choice to learn a different interface for motion graphics. Also, now that Apple drop the price for Shake, if you need the next step in 3D compositing, that would be another option.
I’ve only listed SOME of the choices, and the list goes on and on.You can’t go wrong with learning new techniques, but some choices might be better than others.

Yes you need to move it. THe capture scratch is fine, although it really doesn’t matter where. As long as it’s not your local HD.
You will probably need to relink the media files to where ever you move it to.Cheers,
