    John,

Thanks for your help. Much appreciated. I had it stuck in my head that exporting something as progressive meant that the original footage was shot as progressive. Program changes and updates can be maddening in the details!

The files are used for archive purposes, though I probably don’t need them uncompressed, as we save a ‘trimmed project’ as well. I just like to have some files on hand that I can use for incorporation into demo reels, dvds, etc.

    Thanks again,

    Todd

I had the fields set to lower, then tried progressive. That worked! However, I’m getting about a 5 gig file, uncompressed, for a 3 minute clip. What ‘compression’ setting do you recommend? I used ‘none’ for this output, which obviously will keep the hard drive manufacturers in business!

    Thanks!

    Vincent,

I use the description field in fileinfo, which begins each caption as ‘Description:’ followed by the caption information. Not terrible, though I would prefer that it does not appear.

    Thanks!

That is a great idea. Perhaps if we all write to Adobe, they will incorporate an export to Sorenson in the near future. I know that from our workflow standpoint, it would be a huge boost to productivity.

    Thanks for the replies.

One more question concerning this plugin…Is is possible to remove the ‘Description:’ tag, so it only prints the caption?

    Vincent,

I truly can’t thank you enough. You have solved a problem for me that I’ve been wrestling with for some time. This will allow the photographers I work with to more easily make photo slideshows, that we can edit in Premiere. Thanks again!
