  • Hello Edward Troxel,

I just discovered your script to render regions as the region labels and would find it very useful, unfortunately it only lets me render in .mp4 instead of quicktime.
If i may ask, are there some lines i could add to get the multiple-codec options that exist in the standard Batch Render.cs
    I am using Vegas Pro 9.0 (64bit)

    Thanks a lot,

Thanks for the great advice, and sorry for this incredibly late reply (august was vacation-time, finally)

i experimented around with the echo, and now i got quite the result that i wanted, perfect.
the only problem is the incredibly large rendering effort…

footage was 220 sec, echo amount 5000.
rendering starts quickly, and gets slow soon 😉
after 8 hours, about 33% was finished, and now it took 40sec for EACH FRAME!

since this was with DV footage, and I want to switch to HD material later, i am looking for a
    faster solution… any ideas ?

    Thanks,

  • As i wrote, I also found this function in Excalibur and customized it to the toolbar. Since i only used the trial version of exc. , and i already bought ultimat-s, i was searching how it works there.

Now I found out -> You have to go in the preferences of “Editing Tools”, then under “Event Selection” you have to check all 5 checkboxes. (all except for “left”)
Then I assigned “Editing Tools” to the Toolbar, and thats it! Same Result than in Excalibur.

  • I have to admit that i seem not to be smart enough to solve this problem by using the trimmer, i prefer to select all the events. Now I got Ultimate S, still I didn’t figure out which function is the one I am searching for.

    Can anybody help?

    Thanks in advance,

  • would be great if you could find out which function this is. that is to say, how it can be done.

PS: strange actually that sony hasn’t integrated this thing. I guess every editor needs to do this quite often…

    thanks,
    paralion
