That looks like it only does models, like Poser. Or can you create anything? My sons seems most jazzed about creating environments so far.

I think the real question here is, how do you want the final video presented on the web? 4:3 or 16:9? Nowadays, I would go 16:9 if at all possible.

Render out the camrec files as Animation codec MOVs at 100% quality. But *be sure* you keep the files at their original pixel size. If you recorded the screen, chances are it’s at 1024×768 or higher. However, I think Camtasia defaults to scaling that down to 640×480.
I never use the presets. I do it all manually so I can be sure it’s doing what I want.

One thing you may want to look at is using Adobe OnLocation to capture the footage directly into the laptop. That way you’ll save all that digitization time.
