    Thanks for the help guys. So it sounds like staying with the 12 core mac pro is still the way to go for After Effects. Would it be worthwhile to upgrade the video card to a CUDA enable card as opposed to the ATI card we’re currently using? Right now the pro has 32 gigs of RAM and sounds like it might be worthwhile to boost that even further. Thoughts?

    I saw a couple posts with that info, but nope its just my laptop. And I haven’t installed anything manually. My guess was that it was installed with a compressor or QT update. Maybe the update was really geared more towards simple playback instead of full on usage?
