  • Thanks, Jon, that’s exactly along the lines of what I was thinking.

    Cheers,

Thanks for that, Todd! However as a CS3 user, I’m wondering if anything has been removed from CS4 in CS5? (I’m glad to see that Mocha for AE is still with it.)

In other words, is there any advantage to getting CS4 now with a free upgrade to CS5 when it ships (other than obvious things like, “having CS4 and CS5,” “using CS4 now,” etc.)?

    Thanks!

    Best,
    Tim

But what if it is for an Effect’s property. I tried SHFT+ALT+E, but that just opens the Edit Menu. Any idea, or is it not possible?

    Thanks!

    Thanks, John, for your input.

Actually, I went ahead installed CS3 onto my laptop (something I’ve been putting off for … well, forever) and sure enough it shows up in that installation. So apparently something is wrong with my installation on my desktop, or with a component from the Flash player or QT, or something.

Sorry, I’ve been off the grid for the past couple of days …

But thanks very much to both of you, that sounds like it will work perfectly. I also had a couple of ideas that may work to enhance it as well. I’ll let you know how it works out. Thanks again!

Sorry Kurt, I hadn’t seen your post. That was actually in response to Dave’s question about it needing to be smooth.

Yeah, that looks like a great plug-in … except I’m about “plugin’d out” … I think I own just about every plug-in but that one. It seems like there is a way with standard After Effects operations to make that work. Or maybe with TC’s 3DStroke perhaps?

Yeah, unfortunately, it needs to be smooth, like a piece of glass. Picture a curved holographic display — or projection onto curved glass/plastic.

Agreed. Sites like that almost make me wish Flash was never invented. Talk about poor implementation, wow. But thanks for the heads-up, interesting to see.

Go Paul! I haven’t been on the boards in some time and knew your name sounded very familiar. As soon as I saw you walk on screen I knew I was in for a treat. Always a good time watching your vids, keep up the good work!

Yes, yes … quite the ladies’ man. He is part-Japanese, do you have some Japanese or Asian heritage? The voice is what really makes uncanny … and he’s never even been to Canada! LOL! 😉

    Best,
