[Stephen Smith] “Ultimatte Advantedge is great. The only problem is it take forever to render and the “support” to help you learn it is no where to be found. But it does an amazing job”

If you find that Ultimatte AdvantEdge is taking too long to render, I suggest that you try Ultimatte RT (compatible with FCP and Motion, only). It will render SD footage in real-time. HD footage will be a little slower than real-time, but still blazing fast. RT is a GPU-accelerated version of the AdvantEdge plugin (with a much simpler interface.

I encourage you to give the demo version of Ultimatte AdvantEdge and/or Ultimatte RT a try. It is fully functional, but the output is watermarked. You won’t even have to uninstall/reinstall the software when you purchase. When the dongle is installed, the output will no longer be watermarked. Visit the link below for the demo download:

    Hi Gage,

If you can give us a link to 10-20 seconds of your footage, we can take a look at it for you and give you some suggestions.

It’s true that the 3:1:1 sampling will make things more difficult, but the problems you describe should be able to be handled with the plugin. If you want us to take a look at it, contact us via the web site link below.

    Hi duffbeer911,

Ultimatte AdvantEdge will definitely work with CS3. You’ll have to get the updated version of the software, though.

There are now different install files for the three different CS3/Ultimatte platforms.
    1. Windows
    2. Mac
    3. Intel Mac

Get the right one installed and you will be rolling! Please visit https://www.Ultimatte-Software.com to download the new version. If you don’t have the most recent version, the full software or an upgrade can be purchased online.

Just a quick note to let you know that the Intel Mac-compatible version of Ultimatte AdvantEdge is now available.

If your system was Intel Mac-based, that is why it was causing a crash. Please visit https://www.Ultimatte-Software.com to download the new version. If you don’t have the most recent version, the full software or an upgrade can be purchased online.

The new version ONLY corrects the incompatibility with Intel Mac-based systems. If you are not using an Intel Mac-based system, this update will likely not solve your problem.
