  • Actually I just got off the phone with the VP of marketing and yes, what you see is what you get, if you dont see it you wont, get it,

Motion and Compressor, are the only products that are going to remain in production, the rest are dead and gone, EOL, period, no hope for recovery, funeral will be held in the morning but not many people are expected to attend, as common sense died just an our ago people are still in shock more so if you were dumb enough to buy this software two months ago like I was.

What I am saying is that just a few months ago I paid, over a Grand, for this software, plus I dropped 3800.00 for a MAC book pro, so I could develop on the move, now, I have a suite of products that have bugs in them and no real action on updating the known issues in this software, imports still crash the interface, (I could go on and on but I know you do not want to hear this stuff so I will stop here)

The fact is that I paid for entrance to this product with the understanding that it was going to be in development and a stable product, and yes I called into apple before making this purchase, so I really feel let down. Two months, ago, when I called in today, I was told that they were very sorry but there was just nothing they could do.

Anyone want to buy a slightly buggy version of FCS

I want to know why this entire mess exists in the first place, last year, I paid $999.00 plus Tax, for Final Cut Studio, with the understanding that it would be a viable product in the future, today I contacted apple and was told that Final Cut Studio is history, gone, over, done.

I feel like I have been victimized by apple and I am really irritated, I saved up money to buy this software, now its worthless, that makes me angry, I used to really like apple but over the last two years, I do not understand what the hades they are doing.

  • Yes, there is also the upconvert issue, that crashes every other time, I use it, makes you want to consider moving over to adobe at least they have their ducks in a row over there, at least part of the time.

It would be nice to see something that would be worth the upgrade price, so far third party plugs are better than the Apple products, which is sort of dissatisfying. Perhaps Apple can get something done while on vacay,

  • nope dont buy that at all, it is not a mistake unless you count that apple provided a 1.01 GB update to 10.6.3 and screwed up FCP in the process, this is directly related to Quick time 10
