I currently use SVP 10, I had SVP7 with Red Giant Plugins/Colorista…. loved the way it all fit inside sony vegas pro.

Don’t get me wrong, Vegas does some cool stuff, but I have to integrate projects with other editors/producers. They all use FCP, AVID or Adobe.

I like the professional look you get with Red Giant Projects…. so how do you work with AE with Vegas?

Do you edit in Vegas and render to AE?

Would love to know what features SVP has had that FCPX now has built in…

well said Rick. I’m frustrated that SVP Pro does not integrate with any of the RED GIANT Suite of software. I’m going to be forced to switch soon. I need to stay competitive. I’ve loved using Sony Pro, but I gotta make some hard decisions soon

I edit with T2i, 5D and 7D footage with SVP 10. It slows only when you add FX on the timeline. I am happy with the upgrade. You can drop files directly into the timeline without having to encode with Mpeg streamclip or Neoscene..

I will be at NAB asking a ton of Vegas questions….:)

    Hi guys,

That is correct! I’ve recently researched thousands of AE templates, projects, backgrounds etc. Nada for Sony Vegas Pro. Edward T had some stuff on his site, but they seemed dated and lacked the sexiness of I wanted to see in current project…

Maybe I am wrong, seem like a niche someone could design and sell to the community…

    Much thanks guys,

    T
