You can try Magic lantern for longer Recording sessions. Just increase the q-scale – the disadvantage: poorer quality – espenes on who strong you use the Setting.

Which ML version are you using? I tried the 0.2.0 Version on the 550d from december and the last from 31th of may. Both are too buggy to use it seriously.

A professional audio-designer can fix a lot. But it’s not possible to eliminate the ambient sound (reverb, reflections, echos, etc.). But to make the best out of the original recordings I would recommend another plattform (logic, protools,… with highclass plugins).

The t2 is very light sensitive. So for your needs I would recommand a lense like the Sigma 18-250. That’s a very usefull all in one tool.

I also used Quicktime Pro for that in the past. But After Fx is much more comfortable to manage this,
