    Hi everyone.

site Newby here, with hopefully an easily solvable problem.

I have imported a bunch of timelapse stills into FCP, and the file numbering has imported out of sequence. I have never found this before.

here is a screen grab of my problem –

    Thanks for your help.

You want to convert the stills into a video file before you enter FCP.

QuickTime 7 Pro makes this real easy.

All your files should be numbered with four digits, such as 0001,0002,0003. They will then import in sequence.

I also used Quicktime Pro for that in the past. But After Fx is much more comfortable to manage this,

With QT you don’t need to open any project or set any export or rendering parameters.
Just “Save as..self-contained” and you get a QT movie with the same parameters of the stills. No processing.

    Thanks guys,

That’s been a great help, I have ditched using fcp to create timelapses. I am going with the AE method. and is working great.

    Cheers
