Aindreas maybe you want to watch the demo one more time.
From the first look (nobody has seen a full functional Demonstration of FCPX) the viewer is in the Timeline and Canvas.
So breaking up a clip in sub-clips should be no different as now. Also it was mention you can drive Final Cut Pro X fully with a Keyboard… which I do today. So I can imagine a in and out to timeline function “should” exist.On the magnetic timeline doesn’t Velocity already have this function?

Interesting… but is FCP X build on or around Quicktime?
Beside of the fact that the story from Appleinsider is rumor. NOt sure if I should even consider this as possibility -
Your right I had the same feeling, and now I really want it and try it out!
For some reason I feel [from what I have seen] the new FCP X is leaning toward a Smoke like software.
Not just editing but finishing it one app.Also if there is going to be a next Motion then its going to be a kicker…

Okay okay I just got done watching the demo and I have to say from what I just seen…
I want it! This can speed up the editing/workflow!ONe thing I would like to know is (looks like it will run on Snow Leopard well was mentioned) will it run on my 3 first Gen Mac Pro’s?

is 299,- and you can get Full Version at B&H for 749,95 divide that by (lets be fair) five is 149,99.Also we know so far this is not it and there are more Apps coming. I say we wait how much the others will cost.
From the Demo I just seen, no this is for the Pros yeah anybody can buy it know and run it of there iMac and won’t have idea how to really use all the tools. But if it is true what Apple promises this thing (Final Cut Pro lets skip 8 and 9) is going to kick some A$$ on a Mac Pro! Which is good marking point for the Pro hardware.But lets get back to the Timeline. This can really speed up editing… editing on the fly 🙂
For time well me as the driver of Final Cut or any other NLR software is in control of the time. Soooo nope this is going to work out. 🙂 -

from the sound of… editing while the source is still ingesting… tells me there is tape ingest. I hope!
I would like to know if there are more then two video tracks. Laying more then 3 tracks and doing some composite effects can be handy.Two screens is key feature, maybe there is a dual screen layout? undestructible interface??
A Motion would be nice especially since I invested allot of time and money in to Motion. After Effect would have been a better option. But, maybe Apple was smart and finally added Shake’s key features! Node, Morphing, better Key and etc…
299 for Final Cut Pro X (lets skip 8 and 9) and 1000 for the Studio. I would buy that.

Okay like I said Canon can’t find anything wrong with the Camera.
So here I am posting a screenshot of some footage that I took this morning, excuse the fog but Theoi Ouranioi did not hear me.Well I see some noise, grain or compression… how ever you want to call this.
I just like know if you guys camera also produces the same quality?Thank you!
