    Hey CreativeCows!

looks like I will have a budget for some classes!
The question is with all the rumors (as well what Larry Jordan claims) that a new FInal Cut Pro or Studio is on its way!
Should I give it a wait, if so, what do think how long will it take until the facility are updated to teach?

    Thanks!

Thats correct, although as with all Apple stuff, no one bar a few very high up people know the actual date of release.

“Should I give it a wait, if so, what do think how long will it take until the facility are updated to teach?”
Im not sure that question made entire sense…

Well if a new Final Cut Studio came out tomorrow! Would the Teaching facilities be ready to teach the new version?

There would certainly be a lapse for educators (scholastic and professional) to get up to speed.

Since the new FCP is uber top secret, I’m sure there will not be any training classes from day 1, nor will there be third parties with instructional videos.

Apple’s past certification classes (ACT) were taught by non Apple employees, using books written by non Apple people (at least in my case). So, expect a delay in the curriculum being written and classes formed.

Everything will be changed inside and new functions and may be a new interface will be added, but nothing will change the essence of FC.
So unless you intend to start to teach about the new 64Bits code, QT, etc, I don’t think you should think much about.

I usually purchase the FCP books from Peachpit Press as soon as there is a new release of Final Cut Software. And I have found that it takes about 3-6 months for them to release updated versions of their training manuals. Thats after the in store release of Final Cut Studio. I am sure it is the same with various institutions.
