Yes, the rotobrush tool in after effects or Mocha pro in after effects are some possibilities to do this.

    Hi Jaysri,

FCP (Final Cut Pro) is just another editing software, used on a Mac.

Rotoscoping in Boris RED 4 is possible, but then you will have to do it manually, frame by frame. A lot of work….

What about Mocha? The only problem is that Mocha will not export shape data into Vegas, only tracking data. Do you have another recipient software like AE or FCP? That would help a lot.

  • With which version of Photoshop are you working? Photoshop CS6 has an auto-save function. See here for details:

In vegas you can do FILE-IMPORT-*.pproj

This imports the video from the Premiere project into Vegas. But effects applied in Premiere are not transfered into Vegas. And if you have multiple layers in the Premiere project, the order of the tracks changes in Vegas. That’s because in Premiere, the lower track is called 1 while is Vegas the upper track is called 1. So track 1 remains track one but changes from the lower track in Premiere into the upper track in Vegas.
In the past I have played with this import function for AE en PPro projects into Vegas, but I haven’t found any usefull application for it. But if your Premiere project has only one layer and no effects, than you could be lucky

  • If you buy Izotope RX2, you will get both the plugin and the standalone version. And you can open your audioclips in the standalone version directly from the Vegas timeline. So anything is possible…

That’s strange. I have never seen that. I always save within Izotope.

Recently I had some problems with Sony’s Production Assistant that could not be explained by John R. A simple re-install of Windows solved that problem. Maybe it also solves your problem.
