Is there a good (and inexpensive) plugins for SVP 12 that allows you to remove hums, crackles, etc?

I have a presentation I did of a person. Unfortunately it was in her company’s professional kitchen with huge refrigerators running in the background.

I know about BIAS SoundSoap 2. Has anyone used it? If so, is it good at these tasks, and is it a plugin for SVP?

And yes, I’ve tried the graphic EQ. It removes some of the hum, but not to my liking.

    Thanks.

The best in the business is Izotope RX 2, but Sony Noise Reduction 2
is a low cost option, but BIAS SoundSoap 2 has closed shop, so there
    isnt any hope there.

BIAS SoundSoap 2 is quite good for the price. I used it all the time before I got iZotope RX but as Steve pointed out, BIAS has gone out of business. 🙁

Ron, if you want to punch the audio over to me I’ll give you back an inkling as to what can be done: I have iZo as plugs in VP and iZo II.

u need to cutt off some low frequencies. u can get goldwave. that is an old one but very functional. can try it for free. you will see your hum in spectral view. of course izo is a pro way

If you are serious and in audio editing for the
long haul Ron, may as well you simply invest in Izotope.
No need to look elsewhere after that.

Izotope RX 2 gets my vote too but if it’s free you’re looking for, give Audacity a try.

Is Izotope a plugin that I can get for SVP 12, or is it a completely separate application?

If separate, how would I get the audio track from SVP to Izotope? (I record my sounds on a Tascam DR-40, so the sound file is separate.)

If you buy Izotope RX2, you will get both the plugin and the standalone version. And you can open your audioclips in the standalone version directly from the Vegas timeline. So anything is possible…
