My record is 7 days! But that was on a P4 computer with MB Looks applied to the whole project.
You also ask a lot of calculations of your PC, so I’m not surprised by your rendering time…

No, from version 9d, this is not the case anymore. Thats why I explained it in the way I did. The new rules are:
Copy Snapshot to Clipboard and Save Snapshot to File now deinterlace interlaced images and operate at Best (Full) resolution if the Video Preview is set to (Auto) size and Good quality if set to Draft or Preview.
So you can leave the preview settings to AUTO

The HELP in DVDA is very usefull. And it fact, apart from the DVDA manual, it is the only documentation I have used…
The Vegas 6 Editing Workshop from DSE talks a littlebit about DVDA (so I quess the version 9 of the book also), but that is very limiting. In contrast, the HELP of DVDA proved to be very very very usefull to me.Theo

You can use e.g. two video tracks: one for the pictures at the left side and one for the pictures at the right side.
Using track motion (you find this in the track header), you can place both tracksat the size and at the place where you would like them to be.
And ofcourse, more complicated slideshows are just as easy as this.

After starting Hypercam, you can select a window or an area to capture. Select the filename, framerate and codec you want to use. Give your settings for the audio. Then just press START REC.

Hypercam2 is free, works under windows 7, 32bits and 64bits and the captured avi (e.g. lagarith lossless) can be used in Vegas.
