I managed already to copy an audio envelop onto a video track. It works great and gives nice new opportunities for creating slideshows on music.

OK, I found a program on the internet called MixMeister BMP analyzer which can do this job. It looks great, so I expect it will be very easy now to make slideshows on the beats of the music. But I’m still wondering how other people (including professional editors) do this?

Which version of Vegas 8 pro have you installed and which patch are you trying to install?

You can try this:
Duplicate your track
Add SHARPEN to the upper track (or use the CONVOLTION KERNEL)
Set the LEVEL of the upper track to 50%
Set the composition mode to HARD LIGHT

I think you can do it with only one emitter with the first word. Give it all the settings you need. Place it three times on the stage and then replace only the word for the other two words. Thats all…
