  • Thanks for your investigations, Stephen and Mike,

Mike, I tried to open your (zip) file, (also on a new location) but i still get the same message.
At the moment i’m very occupied, later this week(end) i continue.
I will post a message about the results.

    kindly regards, theo

  • Oke Stephen, here it is.
    6628_pueblorecondado3nalira4aanlandswing.veg.zip

    kindly regards, theo

  • Embedded…?
I suppose you mean i put (used) a .veg file into a .veg file.
No, i used only original footage (photographs, music, effect-sounds and a lot of ‘scrob/pan’ and ‘event FX’).

    kindly regards, theo

  • Thanks for your reaction and suggestion, Steve.

I did what you suggested, but i become the same error-window.
But i’m not shure i did it well.

    1) On the spanish-HD i renamed the xyz.veg.bak in xyz-a.veg.
2a) Then i tried the ‘xyz-a.veg’ to open by double clicking. >>> Same error-window.
2b) First i opened SV on the dutch-HD and with ‘open file’ i went to the extern spanish-HD and tried to open the ‘xyz-a.veg’. >>> Same error-window.

I sent the error-window in the post after the first but i do it again in this post:

    kindly regards, theo

    thanks,
    the point is this:
For a month ago I lived abroad.
There I worked with Vegas pro 9 on Windows XP (32 bits), an old (slow) machine
I had to move back to the Netherlands and I took only the HD.

Here I like to configurate a new pc, but at the moment there is a little financial problem.
To bridge the time I can buy a second hand PC with Windows Vista 64 bits.
So, I thought, I have two options:
    – to use Vegas Pro 9 on the Vista O.S.
    – to use the “old” XP harddisk (all software is well configurated) into the new machine and use the XP HD f.e. as a slave.

For some reasons I prefered the first option.
But however, I hope this solution will be necessary only for a few months.

    kindly regards, theo

    Thanks John and Steve,

Probably we are talking about two kinds of technics.
    1) Petapixel: Motalko: gasolinstation, cars, made in Blender: the objects stay flat.
    2) DigiEffects: Old Buildings made in AE: the sides of the building get more flesh.

I think the first I can do it in SV (with photoshop), I don’t need Blender.
The second, I think, I can do in Blender as well but not in Vegas.
If I understood you well, because of 2 cameras and projection it’s not possible.

Yes, Blender is difficult, I saw some tutorials.
Here is one, but for me at the moment it’s going to fast.
    I need some basical-knowledge.

Sorry the link was not very clear.

    https://www.digieffects.com/product/buena_depth_cue#presets

and then click on: “video samples”
you will get two columns > middle of right column: “Project: Old Buildings”

    p.s. Can I re-edit my post afterwards if I made a mistake???

    kindly regards, theo

Here is probably a better example.
    But made by AE.

    https://www.digieffects.com/product/buena_depth_cue#presets
(the example is in the right column somewhere in the middle. It’s named:
    “Project: Old Buildings
    Plugin: Buena Depth Cue v2
    Effect: Camera Mapper
    Project Folder Included ”

Something like this is possible in Vegas?

    kindly regards, theo

    oke I understand John,

But about a week ago i saw this:

    https://www.petapixel.com/2011/09/12/stepping-into-historical-photos-with-3d-camera-mapping/

At the end in the credites “Blender” is named. So I thought …

Specialy for historical photographs of streets, squares and buidings it seemes me very nice if not used to much.

Before I did some of this “3-D” things in Vegas but in a primitive way.
So I can use your advice in this.
Do you know there is a tutorial about this kind of “3-D”?

    kindly regards, theo
