    Hi Edward

Thanks for the info. Do you know if the evaluation demo is fully working? I’m asking becuase $100 is quite expensive for a one-off exercise – this is not something I’m going to be using regularly.

If it’s not – is there an alternative way? All I really want to do is put a caption up with an incrementing number on each of the photos in the slideshow.

    Thanks
    M

    Hi Peter

Thanks for the quick response. I think the problem with copying the AVI file onto a DVD is that it won’t be watchable on a normal home DVD player. However, by authoring a DVD with the AVI it should be… well, that’s what I was aiming for anyway.

    Thanks

Thanks Jeff, but when I get the image in my preview window, those last two icons seem to be greyed out. They are available when the preview area is black (obviously not very useful though!?).

Any idea what I’m doing wrong?

Then the sub-clips appear in the Project Media folder and can be dragged into my new masterpeice…

    Hi Gary

I think I worked it out … I just use the Trimmer and create sub-clips, yes?

    One more thing…

Now that I have captured from my DVD, obviously it is one loooong video. Is there a simple way to cut it up into smaller peices which can be dragged in to my new movie?

    Thanks

    Hi Gary

Thanks for the prompt response. I haven’t got Vegas in front of me at the moment (I’m at work), so I can’t test it, but does this work for proper DVD files, rather than MPEPGs? The DVD I’ve got has VOBs and stuff on it.

    Thanks
    Martin
