  • The original is 170 mb. It plays for about 10 seconds. The image freezes, but the sound continues normally.

    The un-rotated file plays normally.

    After posting this earlier, I re-encoded it as an .avi and that played successfully. I converted it to an .mp4, and that plays as well.

    Thanks, Steve. Sadly, that did not work. A couple of questions, as I’ve had some bad times working with Sony software in the past (thinking of the mini-disc software):

    1. Should Sound Forge and Vegas (I have Platinum, BTW) be sub-folders of the Sony folder? Vegas currently sits in Program Files\Vegas Movie Studio Platinum.

    2. Would it make sense to uninstall and reinstall Vegas into the Sony folder?

    I’ve never encountered a problem like this before – it’s puzzling!
