Problem integrating Vegas 9 and Sound Forge 10
I’ve had Vegas for a while, and recently purchased Sound Forge. When I access Vegas’ preferences, in order to specify Sound Forge as the audio editor, Vegas cannot see it!
I browsed to the Sony folder (from within Vegas), but Sound Forge isn’t displayed. If I view it from Windows Explorer, I can see the Sound Forge folder nested in the Sony folder.
Can anyone help?

There should not be a problem. Make sure Soundforge
is installed properly and restart your computer.

If you are using a 64 bit OS, make sure you are looking under the “program files x86” folder and under Sony. Sound Forge is a 32 bit application…hope this is the problem!! Be sure to look for the .exe file….

Thanks, Steve. Sadly, that did not work. A couple of questions, as I’ve had some bad times working with Sony software in the past (thinking of the mini-disc software):
1. Should Sound Forge and Vegas (I have Platinum, BTW) be sub-folders of the Sony folder? Vegas currently sits in Program Files\Vegas Movie Studio Platinum.
2. Would it make sense to uninstall and reinstall Vegas into the Sony folder?
I’ve never encountered a problem like this before – it’s puzzling!
