If you juust ‘deleted ‘ them from the project media pool you can just import them again from your HD. If you used delete from project and from HD you may be be in trouble. You may have to recapture if possible.

If you have not closed the instance of Vegas when you did it you might try undue, but I don’t know if that works on that type of thing. Probably wouldn’t hurt to try.

So if you open the mPeg2 (that you rendered in Vegas) with WMP or Media PLayer Classic or whatever its missing the 3+- minutes at the end? That would indicate (as you have stated) that it did not get rendered. Is that last 3 minutes on a different track than the rest of the project? Could it have been muted? Did you have a region set up that included all but the last 3 minutes and done a “render region only”?
If it is on the time line and not dismissed muted etc it should render. Will it render to a new track?
Is that last 3 minute segment a different format than the rest of the program?
Sorry to ask so many questions. Just trying to figure this out. It doesn’t make sense.

I think the only limitation to the render length is the available space on your HD. I ahve rendered 3 hours of SD DV but I rendered to Main Concept Mpeg2 and AC3 so that I could burn it on a DL DVD. Worked fine

So you have 1:04:23 on the time line? Does the time line play all the way to the end? Are you rendering to MPeg2 DVDA compatable Main Concept? and a separate AC3 audio render? When you take that rendered Mpeg2 file and play it with a player on the PC does it play all the way through?

  • Obviously I am not into 24p but if you can’t watch 24p whats the use in doing it. What basic am I missing here?

You can use a bitrate calculator to see what bitrate you should be using. (Google it)

Go to your desk top and right click on a blank spot. Properties -settings. Reset your resolution higher (smaller icons) then reopen the Vegas program. You should see the Fx window. Drag it more to the center of the screen. Then go back and reverse the procedure to get back to your desired screen resolution.

There was probably a photograpgher gtaking flash shots. Find the frame with the flas in each cameras take and line them up. It makes it a wole lot easier if the different cameras were run constantly without pausing. Otherwise you have to realign each segment. A real pain.

What about using 3D space. Have all the people in the background and ‘bring each forward’ as they contribute. Just an idea.
