You are recompressing footage that’s already been compressed in capture. You can’t get perfect 1:1 pristine quality from an H264 export. Also you didn’t mention the exact export settings you used.

This depends on the specs your footage was shot. The LB bit rate is 36 Mbps so if your footage was shot at 100 Mbps you’re throwing a lot of information away. In that case the LB version would work well as a proxy but not as an intermediate format.

It’s for advanced use that shows each keyframable tool as their own track if you want to keyframe different tools at different times in one clip. You can make a “master” keyframe that controls everything in a certain node during the keyframes so you don’t even have to twirl down and look at those extra options.

You can’t track if you don’t have any features to get the movement from. Animate the background manually.
