I haven’t had that happen in CC 2018 but media offline usually means that, for some reason, Premiere can’t read the file. What format is the file? Are you rendering using previews? Have you checked that the file and/or folder has proper read/write permissions?

Shit can and will happen. In every system with pretty much any program. That’s why I will check or spot check everything I send out to clients. If you have longer videos you could run them through MediaArea QCTools or something like that.

And we can’t help on anything if you won’t/can’t tell us the necessary information to troubleshoot the issue. It’s the same thing if you take your car to the garage and only say “it’s broken”.

The MPEG preview in this case means the format you have as the sequence preview codec. You’re also rendering these previews to the system drive which might be a party of the problem. Try changing your project scratch disks to some other drive.

As you’ve still not given any more information about this then I’ll have to guess: Your project is probably using enough resources to do what it needs to do and using a new computer isn’t making it faster because it’s already going as fast as it can on the older computer.

What are you getting and what are you expecting? Source footage format/resolution/fps, sequence settings and exact export settings would help in troubleshooting.

Yeah it is one of those things you need to set yourself as you can have different monitoring resolution/frame rate from your timeline. If you’re not using a Decklink to output that setting doesn’t do anything.

Are you talking about the video format under the video monitoring options? Because that will affect only the monitoring and it should be set to match your timeline. It’s basically doing the same thing in real time but only for the monitor that’s connected by the I/O card.

If your timeline and footage have different frame rates the footage will either add or drop frames with a certain cadence to try and keep the edited footage length the same. So if you have a 25fps timeline and edit in a second of 50fps footage the footage will drop every other frame and still be a second in length. If you change the footage frame rate it will also change length of the clip. So a 1 second clip in 50fps would be 2 seconds if you interpret the frame rate to 25.
