Put frame blending on and then export and import it as the crappiest jpeg sequence you can make 😉

You might try making a standard 720P sequence and fitting the footage in to that. Premiere might freak out at that resolution and some codecs have their own specs on how they work.

Are your audio preferences correct in Premiere? I once somehow switched the audio out to my HDMI-out and wondered why I didn’t have audio.

The selection shortcuts should be the same in AE and PS.

Wasn’t there some sort of a mesh warp tool in AE? It’s been awhile since I used AE but we use it a lot on our iQ, Smoke and Flame to bend cloth plates etc. into place.

I’ve worked with Flame, Smoke and Quantel iQ. They are nice pieces of software because they work pretty well with HD up to 4K projects but you can’t comp in real-time with them. But at least you can hear the audio in real-time… After you’ve rendered the shot.

What are you doing with realtime audio when you can’t view your comp in realtime?

Have you rendered the footage? Also what videocard do you have?
