There aren’t a lot of format options with Blackmagic but the uncompressed quicktime files look pretty good.

We have the Blackmagic thuderbolt I/O and we can’t capture prores in Premiere. You can get prores out of the Blackmagic Media Express and I’d guess the Aja’s own capture program can do it too.

If your footage is so shaken up you can’t even do a rough cut I’m not even sure if the warp stabilizer will help at all.

There are also some plugins that can turn audio into keyframes. I’ve used Boris FX’s Beat Reactor.

Do you absolutely need to stabilize all footage? If possible edit first and then stabilize what you need.

Not that I know of. After Effects has that functionality so export a master clip and bring it into AE.
