The spanning does not matter. Select the first R3D file when relinking.

I’m not forcing anything to any frame rate because that is not the problem. The export works correctly if I export the timeline that only has the file in it. The file is 29.97 and the sequence is 29.97 and when I add black video or a still or leave a track empty the export is messed up.

You need to set the camera to the PC mode so it shows up as a drive. Read the manual.

It doesn’t matter if I create the sequence from the clip or if I create it separately. If I have empty space or use the black video generator the frame rate will show up wrong.

Which GPU are you using with your computer monitor? I’m not sure that AE can just use a card that isn’t “in use” like Resolve can.

I tried and it does the same weird frame rate change. I don’t know if it’s a Prores thing or frame rate thing or what. I’ll have to test more.

Have you frozen the finished roto brush?

If you have that setting on every clip you edit to the timeline will be scaled to the sequence resolution. If you already have stuff on the timeline select all – right click – scale to frame size.

So you’re using rotobrush then? Freeze the rotobrush and then maybe read the manual for that.
