I am editing a project for a client using Adobe Premiere 6 using a Windows 7 PC and a Panasonic HMC-150. Both are connected using a USB 2.0 A Male to Mini-B 5pin Male 28/24AWG Cable w/Ferrite Core. I’m having a problem getting the computer to see the HMC-150. What I’m trying to figure out is do I need to download another P2 driver or is this a cable issue? Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions. 🙂

So…the cable is USB with a mini at the camera end, yes?

The camera may have drivers that are necessary…but Panasonic consumer AVCHD cams always show up for me without anything additional.

Are you having trouble seeing the camera attached at all, or you see the camera and can’t access the P2 data?

You need to set the camera to the PC mode so it shows up as a drive. Read the manual.

The HMC-150 does NOT shoot P2, has nothing to do with P2.
Have you tried putting the SD card in the computer or in a card reader?

[Chris Tompkins] “The HMC-150 does NOT shoot P2, has nothing to do with P2.”

Sorry…only glanced at the camera…quickly responded under the assumption they had P2 as SDHC cards are easy to unload directly…

Hi I also have a capture problem. I am using Adobie Premiere Pro 5.5 with Windows 7 and a Sony H D camera that using tape. The problem I have is that the pc will start capturing and just suddenly stop capturing. The only way I can tell is that the display that says how much disc space I have remaining stops counting. The big blue time display keeps counting. this is really anoying and means that I can’t leave the P C while it is capturing because I never know when it will stop capturing. Any Ideas. Thank You very much David Fox.
