Hi, yes we have the same issue in our company. Premiere CC 8.1 2014 freezes and crushes all the time. Would be great to get a solution on this.

Hi,

Well, I bought the refurbished one in January from the apple site -good price. It came as brand new.
I tried a little bit of editing and it was rather slow. The screen is also small. The last time I upgraded the firmware it crushed and had to take it to apple store. They had to erase everything. Bah!

So, unfortunately I can’t give you a great review on the editing side as I didn’t use it much for this after all.

I guess not helpful at all.

Therefore I am off to bed.

I read a lot of forums today but still can not fix the isssue
The problem with log and transfer is that I no longer have the footage on the card but only the .mov files transferred to my mac.(it seems that this plug in requires all original data from the CF card). I tried to turn the files into ProRes 422 for progressive material with compressor, imported them in FCP 7 and the dissolve still didn’t work. The dissolves works ok at the beginning and end of a whole clip but not in between two clips. I am sure that the answer is simple and I do apologise if I sound like a beginner.
