Thanks, I will look up for more info. I tried all kinds of things suggested but at the end only pal settings on FCP made it possible to capture. And camera was set to automatic. Do you think it might be HDV and i need an extra device to be able to capture into FCP ?

    thanks

    Hello

I have a video footage that was shot on a mini DV tape , on Sony HDV camera. I captured the footage via the different normal DV Camera into the FInal cut pro 7. When I played out the footage straight from the MiniDV Camera onto TV it looks fine, but the captured footage looks terrible on final cut. what can i do, as I don’t have a chance to recapture it again.
    thank you.

    Thank you so much,
I have one more question, now there seems to be a problem with lines, like stipes everytime there is some movement in the shot? Do you know what i could do about it?

    Hi

    Ok
I have captured the footage on Final Cut 6 wrongly, did not change any settings, therefor the video looks different from the original. Can I change anything in FCP, I don’t have the opportunity to recapture it.
It was shot on Sony DVHD, mini dv tape.
    Please, can you advice me?

I know it sounds awful but i don’t know what codec it was, as for frame 25.
