I have been looking for someone who has been having the same problem as me..except my Vegas (10.0d) won’t actually complete rendering. I will go to add the audio effect and it will freeze at 22% and just not finish. Or some other figure. I even got it to go to 100% by changing my preview rendering settings under Video in Preferences but even after that it would not actually finish rendering.
I have a feeling it must be a bug as I too have 32 bit on another laptop as well as running 64 bit and with this version of Vegas, the problem occurs on both systems.
Here are my specs in case they are of use:
Model: HP Pavillion dv7 Notebook PC
Processor: Intel Core i7-2720QM @ 2.20GHz
Memory: 8 gigs
System: 64 bit
I use Sony Vegas Pro 10.0d (build 670) 64 bit -
I’ve never imported directly from the dvd before, but I’ll look into this.
Thankyou very much for your suggestion about updating my software, I didn’t know you could freely do that without paying, but I have just done it with my serial number and now it seems to be rendering quite speedily. Thanks again!

Yes I just downloaded that update and nothing has changed, unfortunately. I ended up having to reinstall Vegas and Windows, I keep my footage on a WD Mybook with 1tb of space which has always worked well in the past. My clips still load at a glacial rate and it’s very hard to get anything done. I haven’t installed any codecs yet, as I didn’t want them to interfere with fixing this problem.

One little kink though- I couldn’t find that file in my Sony Vegas 8 File, but I found it in my Sony Vegas 6 file, and with some doubt went to install it- so now it is working witha previous version of the file. I don’t really care I thought I’d just tell you what happened in full, I’m just glad it’s working again, thankyou very much! -
I just tried that and it comes up with the same thing. The only thing I can think of doing is re-installing the plug-ins but I don’t know how to do that without re-installing Vegas entirely, and I want to avoid that if possible, but I will do it if necessary.

No luck I’m afraid, I’ve tried adding it to the track that way and by right clicking, by every way I know of, the same message keeps coming up:(

Yes I am using the audio plug-ins that come with Vegas, when I right click on an audio event I then click “Apply Non-Real Time Event fX” and there is a list of Vegas audio plug ins, but when i try to add any one of them, that same message comes up that I mentioned before, sorry If I’m not being clear, it’s the only way I can think to explain the problem.
