Thanks. I seem to be having a lot of trouble finding the “reverb” setting, although I know it should be simple. I’ve ended up adding those effects in Goldwave and then bringing them back into Vegas when I edit the voices and sound effects together.

I figured it out — you can drag. Duh. Sorry for taking up space, folks.

This is all fascinating, and it’s teaching me a lot, and I appreciate all the responses. But I need a primer on envelopes and what they do and how to use them.

I tried the slider, and at first I didn’t think it was working, because it didn’t change the physical appearance of the event — the graph-lines didn’t get bigger. Then I played it back, and realized it was working, but as you say, it changed the whole event, so I had to move the part I wanted to change to a new line.

I don’t know what a Volume Envelope is. Can you explain more?

Alex — thanks. Fooling around with trying to find a solution to this problem, I tried the same thing in Goldwave, and it seemed to work. Would Wavepad be better, or are they all pretty much the same?
