Marco, your compleatly correct. I only realised it after we shot. It was at a press event and wee pushed for time, we setup quickly and did a test run with the presenter sat down, when the subject sat down, forgot to refocus. Out of intrest what would recomend to do to the clip, ie colour correction or any other tool?

Thanks, what tool would you use to transcode to DNxHD? doing a bit of googleing suggets its an Avid codec, i used windows at the min to transcode.

Hi, thanks for all your help so far, it was mounted ontop of the cam ona tripod. I’m considering switching to a hand held also but want to give the vid mic pro one more chance hence I was looking at the settings recomended. Any help setting up is apreciated. Thanks

Thanks the sandisk extreem’s seem to be the ones i guess, the transend have a poor write rate from what i can see, unless quality varys for the class 10 cards. Anyway what class sandisk are u using? I have seen some Sandisk Video Extreem HD which write at 20mb which seems afordable but dont seem to be class 10, more class 6?

Thanks for that, what brands have you used and found more stable? Just looking at the Sandisk they seem a little expensive but want to see whats a suitable alternative so i have my options. I think 2 x 16gb is the better way to go

Im looking for either a boom mic or handheld/lavier mic. My budget is around £130ish.

Thanks, this was just me sat in a seat opersite and i decided to run a test between the 2 lens and see how the footage came out so it was hand held. (here is a pic of the image no flash https://i53.tinypic.com/2yywjky.jpg) The canon went into auto mode – i have now worked out how to disable. im not sure how to disable and change iso or apature while in video mode, i press iso and nothing comes up. Im in the process of trying to get a mic, working out if to get rodeo videomic or get a handheld mic. Out of intrest what are the main settings i should look to change on the camara based on the scene, im presuming the wheel which controls the speed is one settings correct.
