I find it funny you guys telling bumpthekoala to consider his target audience and why he needs to target that audience, then the next sentence telling him some of his graphics look too “stock”. Only to experienced editors/video professionals will it look too “stock”, not to 18 y/o soldiers. Very interesting. I don’t recognize these graphics. At anyrate all other advice is top notch.

I think all you armchair marketing guru’s are funny. To even suggest that your seemingly well educated guesses at adobe’s marketing plan or lack there of is spot on is probably far off. Adobe probably has people light years ahead of anything you guys read in DVmagazine regarding adobes marketing. Their people probably got masters in marketing and years experience doing so. It’s like joe moviemaker down the block critisizing spielberg or tarintino or (insert favorite movie maker here). But you are all entitled to your opinions and I definately enjoy reading them.

As far as the center problem, once done typing words click the selection tool(looks like mouse arrow) right click on text-go to position-sub menu pops up-select center horizontal- do all that again and select center vertical, should be perfectly centered.

Make sure your text stays inside inner white box.

There are two ways I know of in p.pro to fade audio or video. 1. yes using key frames, go to far left of track in timeline, click one of the small icons that pops up “show track….” and switch to show track/clip keyframe, click little key frame button and adjust from there. 2. go to effects(video or audio) select cross dissolve or dip to black for video and place it at fade point on clip, for audio select audio cross fade and place it at begginning or end of clip, adjust length of effect for desired length.
