Yes, I tend to agree with you. My mate’s client is a little difficult to say the least and refuses to believe that it is their fault. I was sent a copy of the clip and dumping it straight into FCPv7, I could see that it was PAL all the way through.

Just to update, I did have a similar problem when using ‘Fetch’. I changed to ‘Filezilla’ and the problem was resolved. You may think that a change in FTP programme may be appropriate …?

Hi all,
To close this discussion, it was the OS on my Mac laptop that wasn’t up to date. The Atomos site says that the Ninja-2 requires Snow Leopard. I was running Leopard, hence it didn’t show up. Once I got back to base, it worked fine on my Snow Leopard Mac Pro.
So, now you know and thanks again for your valiant efforts …

On pressing ‘initialise’ I was taken to Disk Utility. None of the options (verify/repair disk etc) were highlighted so that wasn’t an option. Had they been, I wouldn’t have pressed any of them anyway.
Seeing as I can play back the files on the Ninja, I too am persuaded to think it’s the OS.

Thanks Mark. Been away for 2 weeks and this is the first time I’ve booted up the beast. Forgot where bought it – thought I had the disk but no, you were right, it was in App store … thanks again.

I received this message from their tech department on March 2nd 2010;
“We are waiting for an update to FCP from apple that should help resolve your issues, We should also have an update of our own in the near future. I’ll let you know when they become available.”
So far, not a word. However, you have the trail but I bought it. I could really use the update ASAP as I make 2 x 26′ shows a week and the keying is suffering as a result.
