DigiBeta txfer volume size …?
Hello CreativeCow-ers,
I have a client who has just posed me a tricky question; he has 16 hours-worth of DigiBeta tapes (yes, 16 hours). If I were to txfer that into files readable by Final Cut Pro, how much HDD space should I allow?
Although I have a selection of 1T HDDs, I really couldn’t give him a reasonable idea without first consulting the pros … you.

it will depend on what codec you capture to.
You can download the video calc from
https://www.digital-heaven.co.uk/videospacethat is free and it will answer this question for any codec you can use with FCP. They got some other great plugins.
