I completely agree, and it was not my intention making anything big out of the bastard thing. Its just comic that people are jumping out of their chair if they see a word thats not written in the bible.

    Hi Todd,

The people who spend a lot of their time helping out here on the COW get their paycheck from the bastards I refer to.

I understand that you feel for throwing the words right back at me, but the forums are full of people that dont know the answer to my question.
Many of the links on Adobe.com is redirecting you to a cloud product site, many of the old links are dead, and the upgrade tab is hidden behind the buy tag.
And WHEN you spend a lot of money for your after effects upgrade, the serial number is not valid because you are not allowed to upgrade a single software from the package to a higher number. You need to upgrade the whole package. Is that consumer friendly? No, its not. If they not provide friendly solutions, then they are bastards.

    Hi,

I found it after looking over the website about an hour and watching a youtube tutorial. The bastard have done anything to hide it from their website.

I have production premium 5.0 and only want to upgrade after effects to cs 6. Is that possible?

Hi, both in the composer window, the monitor and the rendered output.
It is also some jittering / stuttering on the objects that move horisontally.

    Like Juan says, DNxHD.
It is effectively lossless at higher bitrates (185+) and 185X (10bit) +
DNX is coming fast forward as a standard and it is cross platform.

And for finishing most colorist export DPX, so I cant really see any point in holding on to the PRORES codec.

I have delivered TV spots to all the nordic channels and some european channels and none of them are tied to PRORES only.

And with DNxHD you dont need to think about the gamma issues that is well documented in PRORES.

DNxHD444 is also becoming a mastering format for a lot of large post production houses around the world.

You can also deliver to most platforms with the animation codec that is a very common codec used by a range of graphic artist.

What I dont understand is why you guys even care! This is a perfect opportunity to trash your old macs and buy a high end kick ass PC. Z820 is in the same price range, more CPU, 7 slots and works like s charm. Let Apple do what they can best, please the non-professionals. Stig

It is very far from keeping up with a PC. Mac is dead to me.
