Why is that Craig? We have DSR-500 # 10010 (10) and it has been super dependable since day 1. It’s 2/3″, 16×9 and has a firewire port. We have the remote mic/monitor accessory and it still brings $450 a day. The only downside is no lcd monitor but the monitor takes care of that.
Just wondering.

We have had the same problem several times over the years with different cameras and recorders. When possible, we turn flos off, or overwhelm the scene with our own lighting.
This is the “flicker” problem that we’ve had with those lights for years.

On spots and other temporary media, yes. On long form programing, maybe some day but it’s a long way off.
There is a phrase that just rattles around in my head: “Hmmm, where did I put that file?”

You should go on-line and look for each states department of revenue. Some states require sales tax to be paid on labor (which is un-American in my book). Normally, the tax laws apply where the service took place.

I dropped a pager into a toilet once and it worked after 3 days. Initially, we lightly blew it out with compressed air. Thinking back, I think the —- hit the fan, or vice versa, sorta.
A friend of mine dropped a full size, consumer S-VHS camera into a river in Alaska while being chased by a bear in 1987. He shook it like crazy (like the kid in the Staples commercial) and it worked a little more each day for a week and then it all worked fine. He sold it right away on E-Bay but a friend of mine bought it not knowing the story. It still works just fine today.
