you could have mentioned that you knew about the status screen. It would have saved me days of research.
It’s crazy that they don’t give us a tick mark on the normal screen. One at -12 and another at -20 would have been a really nice touch. If you turn on your tone, you’ll know where the level is on your regular screen. Just take a file or a pocket knife and cut a groove in the plastic and then you’ll have it. Or not.
Actually, you could put a small piece of clear tape on the lower part of the lcd to indicate the -20 mark. Yep, it’s completely a redneck way to do it but…

Look on the left side, at the bottom. It’s the “Status” button.

2. Use the scroller or the joystick to get to the AUDIO status screen.It’s a shame that you didn’t get an instruction manual with your $8,000 purchase because if you did, you could have found this information on pages 105 and 107. I found this info through “Google” search. We don’t have an EX-3.

These days, I would buy 1 and 2 minute slots and direct the audience to a website where the real program plays. You could have a questionnaire on the site that asks people when and where to air your program.
The problem with TV time buy is that the audience has to be sitting in front of their TV at the very time that you have chosen to show your program. However, a friend of mine, Dean Grazioli, has been on TV every day for 20 years and he is doing quite well.
I will contact him and see if he wants to discuss this with you. Dean sells a book on buying real estate and grossed 70 million last year.

What you really want to do is get the 1/2 to 2/3″ adapter and get a really nice 19x lens for about a grand or a 22x for a bit more. There are also a lot of really nice 1/2″ lenses out there too. We have two DSR-300 Sony cameras with 18x lenses. We can shoot a solid torso shot at 85 feet. I have a Century 1/2″ doubler that I would sell, also.

We use the 416 almost exclusively. When we can’t, we have an assortment of wired and wireless with the Tram 50 my favorite in that area.
HMIs seem to give a more “lively” look. I used to lean toward warm lighting but we’re getting better results with HMIs. They’re a lot more money and harder to move around for a small crew. We bought all of them on e-bay.
We have a 16×16 white cyc corner and use chroma key curtains and floor cloth when green screen is necessary. We can sometimes ignore white spill and wrap but green must always be removed. And, I’ve found it easier to simply blow out the white with a luma key.
Todd – Nice job on everything. My only negative comment is that I thought his outer shirt was a bit messy looking. Maybe I’m just becoming a bit stiff. I know it matches the Apple spots, but…

When we mounted cameras in off-road race cars for ESPN, we hard mounted them to the roll cage. No isolation whatsoever. Any soft or rubber mounting was a disaster.
Not that this would calm the effect that you’re seeing, just a comment.
