You really dont need to worry about different frame rate footage on the
Vegas timeline, Just make sure you “Disable Resampling” on all of them
before you render, and you will be ok.Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)

VLC player does not pose any problem for Vegas Pro.
You dont have to worry about VLC player taking over your file extensions,
you can easily customize it as to which file extension you want it to handle.Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)

Wish i could, but Vegas doesnt always handle files captured using
hauppauge hd pvr very well. The format hauppauge hd pvr produces are
not edit friendly, so at times you will have issues with it in an NLE,
like what you are experiencing now.
Bottom line, hauppauge hd pvr is not an efficient capturing process for

Just as John said, just roll back the driver from device manager etc, and you will know!
