If i had your system, even for basic home editing, i would
easily bump it up to Windows 7-64bit and go with Vegas Pro 10.
Still decent enough for what you want.If all else fails, you can open up the audio in your audio
editor (you can too use your open in audio editor icon),
and then save back the audio, im sure it will then be
viewed correctly on the Vegas timeline.Steve Rhoden

lol…We wont yell, Nothing is wrong still running Vegas 8
on Win XP. (But updating would be in your best interest).

What a sticky spot you are in….(Just Kidding)
Just take a deep breath, relax and use Sony Vegas 10.0e
instaed of Vegas 11 then,(given your situation).
No need to have both of them running, uninstall Vegas 11
and do a fresh install of Vegas 10.0e. All your plugins will
still be available.I still use Vegas 10.0e in my workflow. I have vegas 11, but
i wont use it until some of the issues are ironed out in a few

I often times for that endeavor render out as Quicktime Photo-jpeg
at 75% for tons of reasons. Other recommendations will vary a
great deal, but i deal with practicality in my workflow and how to
get the best quality renders out faster and at the smallest file sizes possible in the process.Steve Rhoden

I prefer by far Boris Continuum Complete over Boris Red.
It just sits well within Vegas without having to open up

Vegas doesnt have that particular user interface that
you are looking for as in Premiere and Final Cut…
What you can do if you want a similar interface is use the
Trimmer Window as your source monitor screen and
