Gilles, why not use Sony AVC, there was never an
issue gone wrong using that method for YouTube.

Something else is supposedly causing that ridiculous
render time you are getting. That ain’t normal.
Try reinstalling Vegas and make sure its the latest build.
And in the Project Properties have the rendering quality
always set to Good. Not entirely necessary to have it set
to best, which takes a considerably looooonger render time.

Also Ted, i wish they would just fix some of the other
little bugs that’s lurking in the corners myself…..Then again

Right click on the preview window and make sure
“scale video to fit preview window” is selected.

utmost best and highly recognized in the editing world.
