I would probably start out with a primitive cylinder, add some height segments. Drag in a taper deformer, adjust it until the shape suits your liking. Make a copy of the the deformed cylinder, hide it. select the visible cylinder press “c” to make it editable. Make a loop selection of the cylinder’s top, press delete. Select the cylinder’s side walls, bevel them out a little to give the object some depth.

At this point you should have the basic shape of the yogurt container. You might want to add a lid and start texturing. Its likely you will need to do some custom uvw mapping to get the branding graphics to wrap the container. There are a ton of tutorials that can walk you through this part.

If you are in a time pinch and its still not looking how you want, check out turbo squid.

    Hope this help some.

Yeah, I just read up and discovered that c4d r 12 doesn’t have a legacy save mode. Sorry man, keep plugging away. You’ll figure it out.

I recreated the scene and came across the same problem. It looks like a bug but there may be a reason for it.

At any rate, the work around I used was creating a null (not a group) and moving it to the center point of the BG layer. Then placing all 3 elements inside of the null separately. After all the elements were in the null i needed to adjust some of the keyframes until they looked right.

Once everything was in the null and looking right I keyframed the null rotating.

Here is the video, let me know if this is the look your are going for.

Try setting your timeline to frame 0, create a new Null Object, set its position to the center of the circle (or where ever you want the anchor point/rotation point to be) then make the object that you want to rotate a child of the Null by dragging it under the layer.

At this point I used a little xpresso to link the object. Right click on the rotation property you animated in the main circle, select “Animation > Set Driver” then select the same rotation property in the null, right click it and select “Animation > Set Driven”

Let me know if this helps at all. I’m also attaching the file I used to trouble shoot.

    Cheers!
