The only tip I have os to export each audio track individually to a WAV file that can be used to build a multi-track Audion project.

Or, before importing your pictures, just set the default to 30 frames instead of 150.

Either Jacob got it wrong or it changed between the beta and the release. I agree that the way he said it was interesting, but seeing both sides of the cut has value as well.

You probably downloaded the video from the internet. Try capturing video from a MiniDV camera and see if that works better for you. There are some formats that are just not suited for editing. If you did capture it from a camera, tell us about the camera model and we might be able to help.

Think this through. You have a 720X480 frame, or if outside the USA, perhaps a 720X576 frame.
My guess is that your picture from your still camera is much, much larger than that. So you need to use the Motion Effect’s Scale parameter to size it down to fit. You can automate this but the quality is not as good as using the motion effect.

The frame will be 720X480 (in the USA) at either a 0.9PAR (4:3) or 1.2PAR (16:9).
Select the right one when exporting.

There is no way that PC will work for HDV. Not without purchasing Cineform Aspect HD, and even then it will be slow.
