Don’t use a dip-to-black transition if it looks bad. Just change the opacity to 0 using keyframes, and then reverse it on the next clip.

That’s what I was thinking as I read the first post. Our current technology will be so far behind the Quantum Resolution, Holographic imaging, that puts sights, tastes, smells and sounds directly into our heads through electronic recievers embedded under our skin behind our ear.
The idea of watching old movies will be to our decendants as watching silent movies is to us. Interesting as a novelty, but not as a form of entertainment that we would use on a daily basis.
But then again, I was born in the 1950’s, and I am still waiting for my flying car.

Comparing a product that just uses the PC against a product that has a hardware assist?
That is like comparing Batman’s strength against Superman’s. Batman works hard for his muscles, while Superman got his for no effort at all by chance of birth and the cost of a spaceship.
Buying Velocity is like buying that spaceship. It gets you places faster.
If you want to compare, the get a Premiere Pro compatible product with Hardware assist, like the Matrox Axio.

If it is for the Internet only, I suggest that you capture the footage as DV instead of HDV, and just edit as normal for any DV camera.

Select all of the stills that you want to resize and right click, deselecting “Scale to Frame Size”. You then have to scale them yourself.
