How many is many? Perhaps you should cut the title so that each portion is no longer than a few minutes.

What kind of movie? If AVI, try rendering first. You may have to render in seqments as well. Is your scratch drive configured as NTFS?

Sounds like you didn’t spend any time learning the product Eric.

The last keyframe is a well known issue. You need to be at the betginning of the frame, not at the end of it.

There is nothing particularly wrong with the way that keyframes work. You just need to spend 5 minutes learning how.

First of all, it should be possible to slow the video down and set the audio to remain the same pitch. However, this is not perfect, and it is entirely possible that you could tell the difference between the effect and the normal speech. Perhaps the solution is to speed it all up.

One reason to speed things up is to make the interview go faster to fit into a shorter time requirement. Anything under 10% speed reduction or so should seem pretty normal.

I usually cut in Premiere Pro. Then the smaller sections that require After Effects get copied from the Premiere Pro timeline to the After Effects timeline. I perform the task in AE and then export to the same exact codec I use in Premiere Pro. Which is either DV-AVI or the Cineform codec depending on if I am editing SD or HDV.

Why not use uncompressed? Because Premiere Pro is going to have to compress it anyway while rendering. So I might as well only render once – in AE. Since I do my titles in AE, there is little chance that rendering in Premiere Pro will be necessary if I bring it back in properly.
