If a 17″ monitor is put next to a 19″ monitor of the same resolution, the image is smaller, but tighter and generally looks better, to me anyway. So unless you are moving up in resolution, usually to 1600X1200, a pair of 17″ monitors is not a bad deal.

Call Customer Service. They will offer a useful suggestion, I am certain. They will be able to see where you purchased and registered your download copy.
In the future, I suggest writing the download to DVD-ROM or CD-ROM before you even try to install it.

Titles are now part of the Project File. You can export them and then import them into a new project, where it becomes a part of that new project. When you save the project, the titles are saved.
If you want to make a new title from an existing title, there is a button at the top of the window for that.
By the way, in Jacob Rosenberg’s training videos on What’s New in Premiere Pro 2.0 for Total Training he shows a nifty trick for putting the title window into the panels of a workspace so you can dock them just like any other tab. Pretty cool stuff.

Yes, that seems to be so. It is impossible to guess what Adobe will do for certain, but right now there is at least one feature that you can get only by upgrading to the Production Studio, and that is the Dynamic Link.
I suggest biting the bullet (as I just did) and get the Production Studio Premium. Once you have it, the upgrades will be for the entire package and probably be expensive, but better than upgrading them all individually.

You need to have Quicktime installed on your PC in order to use the files in Premiere Pro.

That is correct. You can own all the products you want, but until you purchase the Production Studio, you will not have Dynamic Link.

What kind of AVI are they encoded as? DivX or some other export codec? Or something captured right from a camera?

What parameters did you use when transcoding? High Quality 7Mbps? Or something lower?

You should not lose the ability to capture from other Sony products when you install Cineform that I know of. Have you submitted a trouble ticket?
