Analog Video with Premiere Pro looks too “digitized”
So we shot a Wedding Reception Video with our Hi-Fi 8MM camera. We captured the video into a capturing program and then took it into Premiere Pro for some cutting and editing. I imported it into Encore, created a menu, added some flavor and then burned it to DVD. When we reviewed the DVD the quality of the Video looked terrible. Terrible in the direction of the analog video looked too “film like” or “digitized.” It was not completely smooth nor really potrayed what we caught on tape. Sometimes it seemed jerky and you could see a a frame to frame transition on occassion.
We compared it to a DVD we created directly from burning the 8mm through a DVD Recorder onto a DVD. The colors and blacks where not as crisp but the video sure seemed smooth and lacked some jerky frames.
What cause analog video to become “digitized” when burning through encore. Is there a codec or something we can use to help smooth out the video but still enhance some of the color?
Thanks for the help!
