In a pinch, you could take a rca to rca connector cable (most everyone has them around) and add a rca to BNC adapter such as this one at radio shack, which most towns have:

If you have enough drive space, you could back up all your media. I usually work on features, so once I have all the media, I make a backup to hard drives and keep it in another location.
But the usual presumption is that your original tapes could be recaptured if disaster strikes. Your work (how you put that media together) is represented in the project files. I actually keep one for every day (they are not that big) in case I have to go back to any particular version.

You must have daily backups of the project file. Get a flash drive and make a copy to it every day.
You can even create another email for yourself, and archive and attach the project to an email, and send it to yourself every day.

I don’t recall anyone suggesting “search the forum” when someone had declared an actual emergency.
It is amazing how many people jump in to a computer program without examining all the pull down menus, or reading even the table of contents of the manual, or learning the proper nomenclature. I think these are the folks that could use a little homework and searching before posting.

How about an RS-422 to LTC Time Code Translator. Maybe you could get RS-422 out of final cut, convert to LTC, and put that to an audio track.
The Horita RLT-50 is such a device.

The usual way to get matching timecode on a tape, when you don’t have timecode out on the source, is to stripe the timecode you want on the tape, then using rs-422 control for the tape deck, insert the video and audio at the proper timecode location on the tape.
In Final Cut this is Edit to Tape.

You need to describe what output the sound is taking from the computer, and what input to the mixer.
You are most likely overdriving the mixer’s input with your signal.
